Sony Vegas

For my evaluations I used Sony Vegas Pro 12 to edit my videos, I prefer this to Imovie because there are so many options and once you know how to use it you can make some really cool things. Here is a screenshot of my evaluation 2 editing process

Equipment: Nikon DX

The camera we filmed our music video with is called Nikon DX, it was a handy little camera.

This is a little showcase our class did with all of our music videos, we have shown our music video to the class many times so they could not really mention must more, which I completely understand .

Twitch

Twitch is a video game streaming software and this week records were broken, (600k live viewers) when the rapper Drake joined a streamer in playing Fortnite, more below.

Different Colours

This is the different colours lyric video, its very fun and colourful. I like this.

Imovie

At A2 we used I movie to edit our music video, I am not a massive fan of imovie as it is a very limited software, however it is very simple, and so editing did not take a long time.

These are the titles for out music video, we made it used a premade animation on Imovie

Editing to the beat

At the start of the song there are 4 loud drum repetitions, as this is a narrative video, we decided that that would be a good place to put some editing to the beat . So one lunch time I took the Nikon DX camera and looked for some nice shots we could put at the start, without leaving the school, this is what I came up with. I uploaded them into imovie and put them in time, my group then came and made any necessary changes

Re filming: ducks

We had a duck shot in our video, however the filming was not really intentional and we put it there as a filler. Though the audience feedback told us that it needs to be of better quality. So one study period I went out with the camera to get some nicer shots of some birds, here is a screenshot of the clip I filmed of some geese 

Props: the map

The map was designed collectively, but made by Sophie and Phoebe using tea stains and a lighter 

This is what the map looked like after filming, with the added drawn on compass and tree the coated man drew. We made sure that we were finished filming with the plain map before drawing on it.

Picking the artist name

When picking the artist name we did a class survey so see which one they picked best, and they chose "Kel"
So this will be the name of our artist.

Kel

Kel the coat man 

The "coat man" or "trench coat man" has been referenced through out this blog. The coat man is played by Kel, the artist of our song. He wears a red hat and a coat and follows the girls through out the video and then helps them find the box. As well as being a comedic add-on, Kel is a cameo by the artist. This is something often seen in music videos, where the artist will appear in the video but not as the main focus and a small side character.

Constume: Phoebe's costume

Phoebe wore a bright red jumper. This was really eye catching and worked well for the video

Alisha wore a mustard yellow jacket , which is bright

Costume : my costume

My costume consisted of a orange coat, a blue Adidas hoodie, a blue shirt and blue ripped jeans.

I picked this outfit because it is colourful and bright. As our music video is about different colours.

My bag is also very colourful, being blue and pink pastel colours
